Trump wants to take on Fox News as his primary opponent

President Donald Trump is pushing back on a Fox News host’s assertion that his administration would take on a rival cable network as the primary opponent.

Fox News has repeatedly attacked the Trump administration in recent days, accusing it of being biased and anti-media.

On Monday, Trump told Fox News’ Chris Wallace that he is not seeking to be the main opposition.

Wallace said Trump’s claim is “not true,” and called it a “fantasy” on Tuesday.

“He is just trying to get attention for himself,” Wallace said.

Wallack later asked Trump if he is trying to undermine the media.

“No, Chris,” Trump said.

“I’m not doing that.”
